Day 1 CATANIA
Arrival in Catania and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon meeting with the tour guide that will give you all the information concerning the tour. After the meeting starting the walking guided tour of Catania by night. During the tour you'll taste typical street food. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 ETNA / TAORMINA
Breakfast and departure to reach Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Along the way you can admire the olive groves and citrus trees typical of the area, up to a height of 2000 meters, where you can enjoy a splendid view all over Sicily. Walk on the spectacular Silvestri Craters, small volcanic cones inactive for a century, surrounded by lava from the last eruptions. Typical lunch at the restaurant. After lunch, stop in Zafferana Etnea to taste Etna’s honey. Departure to Taormina called "the pearl of the Mediterranean" and walk through the narrow streets of this picturesque town, with a stop at the main square to admire the enchanting view. Possibility to visit the beautiful greek theater. On the way back to Catania, stop to admire the beautiful Isola Bella. In the afternoo return to the hotel. Dinner at leisure and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 SIRACUSA / NOTO
In the morning visit of the city of Syracuse (Unesco World Heritage Site), the largest and most beautiful Greek colony in Sicily. Within the Archaeological site of Neapolis is the Greek Theatre, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Ear of Dionysius (by the acoustics that produces extraordinary effects) and the Latomie. The tour will continue in Ortigia, with the famous Fountain of Arethusa, the beautiful Cathedral, the Temple of Apollo. Lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon continue to Noto, the most famous Baroque town in Sicily (Unesco World Heritage), renowned for its magnificent cathedral, recently restored after the devastating earthquake in the 90s. In the evening, accommodation at the hotel in the area of Ragusa/Modica. Dinner at leisure and overnight.
Day 4 RAGUSA / AGRIGENTO
In the morning visit of the baroque city of Ragusa (Unesco World Heritage Site), rich in architectural and treasures become famous for the famous Italian crime fiction "Il Commissario Montalbano". During the visit stop for a tasting of typical products of Ragusa, including chocolate and nougat. After a quick visit of Ibla, departure to Punta Secca for a short stop by the house of Montalbano. Lunch at the farmhouse to taste the local dishes. In the afternoon we will reach Agrigento to visit the Valley of the Temples: the Temple of Concordia, the Temple of Hercules, the Temple of Hera and the Temple of Castor and Pollux. In the evening accommodation in hotel near Selinunte. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5 SELINUNTE / TRAPANI / ERICE
After breakfast drive to Selinunte to visit the famous archaeological site (optional visit) or free time to go on the beach of Marinella di Selinunte. Continue to Trapani, where crossing the so-called "Salt Road", you can admire the incredible landscape of dazzling salt pans dotted with windmills. Typical lunch along the way. In the afternoon visit of Erice, a charming medieval village, situated 750 meters high, where you can also taste the typical sweets. In the evening arrival in Palermo, accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 6 PALERMO / MONREALE
After breakfast, morning dedicated to the visit of Palermo one of the city richest in history and art, where the Arab and Norman dominations have left very interesting signs. We will visit the Cathedral and the Palatine Chapel inside the Norman Palace. Then continue to Monreale to admire the famous Duomo for its precious golden mosaics and the adjoining cloister. ‘Street food’ lunch in Palermo. After lunch free time available to learn more sightseeing or shopping. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 CEFALU / PIAZZA ARMERINA
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Cefalù. Visit this picturesque town located at the foot of a tall and imposing cliff, walking through its narrow streets you will arrive to the Cathedral, one of the most beautiful churches of the Norman period in Sicily. Lunch in a restaurant and departure for Piazza Armerina. Guided tour of Villa Romana del Casale famous for its precious and well preserved mosaics. In the evening arrival in Catania. Dinner at leisure and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 CATANIA
Breakfast at the hotel and self transfer to the airport or chosen hotel. End our service
