Day 1
Arrival in Catania and free transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon meeting with the tour guide that will give you all the information concerning the tour. Dinner at leisure and overnight at the hotel. Optional excursion: Riviera dei Ciclopi and Catania with street food dinner.
Day 2
Breakfast and departure to reach Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Along the way you can admire the olive groves and citrus trees typical of the area, up to a height of 2000 meters, where you can enjoy a splendid view all over Sicily. Walk on the spectacular Silvestri Craters, small volcanic cones inactive for a century, surrounded by lava from the last eruptions. Typical lunch at the restaurant. After lunch, departure to Taormina called "the pearl of the Mediterranean" and walk through the narrow streets of this picturesque town, with a stop at the main square to admire the enchanting view. Possibility to visit the beautiful greek theater. On the way back to Catania, stop to admire the beautiful Isola Bella. In the afternoon return to the hotel. Day 3
In the morning visit of the city of Syracuse (Unesco World Heritage Site), the largest and most beautiful Greek colony in Sicily. Within the Archaeological site of Neapolis is the Greek Theatre, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Ear of Dionysius (by the acoustics that produces extraordinary effects) and the Latomie. The tour will continue in Ortigia, with the famous Fountain of Arethusa, the beautiful Cathedral, the Temple of Apollo. Lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon continue to Noto, the most famous Baroque town in Sicily (Unesco World Heritage), renowned for its magnificent cathedral, recently restored after the devastating earthquake in the 90s. During the visit stop for a tasting of typical local products, including Modica’s chocolate, Almonds and nougat. In the evening, accommodation at the hotel in Ragusa. Dinner at leisure and overnight.
Day 4
In the morning visit of the baroque city of Ragusa Ibla (Unesco World Heritage Site), rich in architectural and treasures become famous for the famous Italian crime fiction "Il Commissario Montalbano". After the visit, Lunch with typical local products and wine tasting in a winery in the Ragusa area. In the afternoon we will reach Agrigento to visit the Valley of the Temples: the Temple of Concordia, the Temple of Hercules, the Temple of Hera and the Temple of Castor and Pollux. Day 6
Breakfast and departure to Monreale to admire the famous Duomo for its precious golden mosaics and the adjoining cloister. Move to Palermo, one of the cities richest in history and art, where the Arab and Norman dominations have left very interesting signs. Street food lunch and time at leisure. Day 7
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Cefalù. Visit this picturesque town located at the foot of a tall and imposing cliff, walking through its narrow streets you will arrive to the Cathedral, one of the most beautiful churches of the Norman period in Sicily. Lunch in a restaurant and departure for Piazza Armerina. Guided tour of Villa Romana del Casale famous for its precious and well- preserved mosaics. In the evening arrival in Catania or surrounding. Dinner at leisure and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8
Breakfast at the hotel and self-transfer to the airport or chosen hotel. End of our services.
